由「香港紅十字會」暨「香港骨髓捐贈基金會」聯合主辦的粵劇慈善晚會已於2008年2月16日(正月年初十)晚假新光戲院完滿舉行。承蒙各界熱心人士慷慨捐贈，晚會為輸血服務中心轄下骨髓及臍血服務籌得發展經費逾港幣90萬元！主禮嘉賓食物及衛生局常任秘書長(衛生)李淑儀女士在一眾嘉賓陪同下接受捐贈支票，並主持開鑼儀式，為晚會揭開序幕。是夜在座善長反應熱烈，在欣賞「鳴芝聲劇團」精彩演出之餘，更在香港紅十字會耆英義工呼籲下即場慷慨解囊捐款。現在就重溫一下當晚的盛況吧！

The Chinese Opera Charity Performance jointly organized by the Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) and Hong Kong Marrow Match Foundation (HKMMF) has been successfully held in the evening of 16 February 2008 at the Sunbeam Theatre. With generous donations from the public, some HK$900,000 are raised to support the service development of the bone marrow and cord blood services under the Blood Transfusion Service. The principle officiating guest, Ms Sandra Lee, Permanent Secretary for Food and Health (Health) and other accompanying guests have received the donation cheques and officiated the gong striking ceremony to kick-off the performance. Audiences have enjoyed the excellent performance by the Ming Chee Sing Chinese Opera Group, and generously responded to the Hong Kong Red Cross elderly volunteers’ appeals for cash donation during the show.
