Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service 60th Anniversary Scientific Seminar
A series of Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) 60th Anniversary activities will be organized this year. The 60th Anniversary Scientific Seminar, “Risk Reduction in Clinical Transfusion” held on 26th March 2012 is one of the highlighted activities.
We are very honored to have a panel of distinguished speakers included Dr Peter Flanagan, President-elect of International Society of Blood Transfusion and Medical Director for New Zealand Blood Service, Dr Albert Lie, Chairman of Central Transfusion Committee and Consultant of Department of Medicine, Queen Mary Hospital, Dr Florence Yap, Consultant of Department of Anesthesiology and ICU in Prince of Wales Hospital , Dr C K Lin, BTS Chief executive & Medical Director, Dr C K Lee, Consultant and Head of Blood Collection and Donor Recruitment Department of BTS and Ms Lam Siu Yuk, Advanced Practice Nurse of BTS.
We are also fascinated to invite Mr Philip Tsai, Chairman of BTS Governing Committee to present an opening speech.
We are delighted to have 278 colleagues from public and private hospitals included Medical Officers, Nursing Staffs and Medical Laboratory Technologists attending the seminar, but also many teaching staff and students from Nursing Schools. There were many good responses during the panel discussion, both guest speakers and attendees discussed eagerly.
