For 30th Anniversary of the HKMMF
Heartiest Congratulations on the 30th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Marrow Match Foundation (HKMMF) which was formed in 1991 soon after the establishment of the Marrow Transplant Unit in the New J Block at Queen Mary Hospital under Department of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong in 1990.
The HKMMF, to establish a Unrelated Marrow Donor Registry and maintain and assist the finding compatible donors for Chinese patients locally and abroad, has been the most successful.
Over the years with the help of the Blood Transfusion Service, the HKMMF has accumulated over 150,000 donors and had assisted in obtaining 658 suitable donors for these much needed Stem Cell Transplant. Many lives had been saved.
May the HKMMF continue their excellent work for another 30 years.
