骨髓基金與蘋果日報慈善基金在將軍澳新都城市中心 合辦「骨髓捐贈驗血大行動」，共招募了2,672人。 是次驗血行動主要是為了19歲的譚文筠
(Glory Hom)及其他急需移植骨髓的血病 患者，尋找合適捐贈者。
HKMMF and the Apple Daily Charitable Foundation jointly organized a recruitment drive at Metro City Plaza II in Tseung Kwan O and recruited 2,672 donors. This campaign aimed at finding a match donor for the 19-year-old Glory Hom and other patients.

「紅十字會輸血服務中心」於9月1日正式接管 「香港骨髓捐贈基金」服務，成立「香港骨髓捐贈者 資料庫」，繼續為需要接受骨髓移植的病患者尋找合適 的捐贈者。
On 1st September, the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) officially took over the management of the HKMMF’s service and set up a new registry called “Hong Kong Bone Marrow Donor Registry” (HKBMDR) to continue to find suitable donors for patients
in need of bone marrow transplant.
