2023 Recognition to Annual Blood Donors

The Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all donors who have been willing to support us throughout the pandemic. The persistence in giving blood of every blood donor, has brought hope to many patients.

This year, a total of 3,855 donors gave blood 25 times or of its multiples, which hits the BTS record, BTS thanks for the enthusiasm of the donors. Awardees can bring along the redemption letter to our donor center from 10 June 2023 redemption.

For awardees donated 25, 50, 75 and 100 times: please bring along the redemption letter to any donor centre to redeem donation medallions. For awardees donated 125 times or more: please bring along the redemption letter to West Kowloon Donor Centre to redeem donation medallions.

Amid the gradual resumption of normalcy, BTS is hosting the Annual Donor Award Ceremony this Saturday (10 Jun) and present awards and gratitude to our awardees.

Due to venue capacity, we won’t be able to invite all the awardees to the occasion. However, a live streaming of the event is arranged via our Facebook page Blood for Life 熱血使命 at 11:00 am on 10 June, please join us and celebrate.

In addition, the BTS has prepared a series of "Check-in spots" activities, media publicity and exhibition to appreciate the contribution of blood donors with the members of the public.

In June, to appreciate the contribution of blood donors, unique designs will be applied on minibus bodies, large MTR billboards, bus bodies, trams, and the outdoor billboard at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

List of awardees of the year

The list of awardees (blood donors, companies and organizations) will be published on newspaper (Headline Daily), public channels and social media platforms on 14 June 2023.
