2022 Annual Donor Award
The Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all donors who have been willing to support us throughout the past 70 years. The persistence in giving blood of every blood donor, has enabled us to maintain a stable blood supply during the pandemic.
This year, a total of 3,686 donors gave blood 25 times or of its multiples. Every strong will in giving blood regularly, has become the strongest back up for frontline medical staff and all blood recipients.
Awardees can bring along the redemption letter to our donor center from 11 and 14 June 2022 respectively for redemption. For awardees donated 25, 50, 75 and 100 times: From 11 June, please bring along the redemption letter to any donor centre to redeem donation medallions. For awardees donated 125 times or more: From 14 June, please bring along the redemption letter to West Kowloon Donor Centre to redeem donation medallions. In addition, the BTS has prepared a series of "Check-in spots" activities, media publicity and exhibition to appreciate the contribution of blood donors with the members of the public. In June, to appreciate the contribution of blood donors, unique designs will be applied on large MTR billboards, minibus and trams in some areas, and the outdoor billboard at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

"Check-in spots" at donor centres
Two instant photo booths and featured scenery board will be arranged at West Kowloon Donor Centre and MongKok Donor Centre for awardees to capture the special moment with their medallion. Special backdrop will also station at all donor centres (indoor or outdoor) for celebration.
