From the achievement of ISO9002 certification in 1999 to the implementation of ISO15189 in 2007, the BTS is committed to continuing building upon the established foundation of total quality management in order to visualize its vision and mission for a world-class operation. The BTS has always put occupational health and safety on a high priority; demonstrates an unwavering and ongoing commitment to providing a ‘risk free’ work environment to its work force. In view of the significant improvement in alignment with ISO14001 Environmental Management System and improved compatibility with ISO9001 Quality Management System standards, the BTS has in early 2008 adopted OHSAS18001:2007 standard to strengthen our occupational health and safety management systems. The BTS has acquired the OHSAS18001:2007 certification in February 2009, which demonstrated that an appropriate OH&S management system is in place. The successful integration of quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems results in one cohesive integrated management system (IMS) that addresses all requirements imposed by the constitutional standards.
In April 2021, the BTS attained ISO45001:2018 certification for the replacement of OHSAS18001:2007 standard. The overall aim of ISO45001 remains the same as OHSAS18001, which is to reduce unacceptable risks and ensure the safety and well beings of everyone involved in the organization’s activities.
