Common Deferral Reasons of Blood Donation also includes the risk of exposed to CJD and vCJD (Mad-cow Disease) Infection, if you spent a total of 3 or more months in the UK between 1980 to 1996, or, spent a total of five or more years in France or Ireland from 1980 to 2001. Besides, the history of flu or diarrhoea in the past 2 weeks, or received vaccine or dental treatment recently are also some common deferral reasons as well.
