2018 Annual Donor Award Ceremony

The Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service (BTS) has held its Annual Donor Award Ceremony 2018  on 10 and 17 June 2018 to present awards to those who had cumulatively achieved 25-time donations or above(multiple of 25) as at last year.In 2017/18, the total number of donors who cumulatively achieved 25-times donations or its multiples has reached 3,444, which hit the BTS record.

Held concurrently at the ceremony is the kick-off of BTS’ new mobile apps ‘HK Blood’. Dr Chui Tak-yi, HA Chairman, Professor John Leong Chi-yan, HA Chief Executive, Dr Leung Pak-yin, Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Red Cross, Dr Lau Chor-chiu, Mr Ambrose Ho and BTS Chief Executive & Medical Director, Dr Lee Cheuk-kwong joined together and launched the new mobile app ‘HK Blood’. With the help of the mobile platform, it is hoped that the message ‘Give Blood Save Life’ can reach more people across the city.
